Tottenham Hotspur have been on a terrible run of form this season, currently sitting in 14th place in the Premier League points table, while also being knocked out from the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

Their poor run of form has continued to extend, with the recent disappointment coming from their elimination from the FA Cup by Aston Villa.

The Coys saw themselves being a goal down just a minute into the game, highlighting the vulnerability of Tottenham's defence this season due to a major injury crisis.

Morgan Rogers added to their misery late in the 65th minute by doubling Villa’s lead.

The debutant, Mathys Tel, showed some glimmer of hope as he scored a late consolation goal during the added time. However, it was too late for the North London giants to try and come back in the game.

A section of Spurs' fans was seen making chants of Mauricio Pochettino, the club’s former manager, while taking a dig at Ange Postecoglou.

Former Tottenham midfielder, Jamie O’Hara, also called out the Australian manager, stating, “It's time to go,” after a spell of just 18 months.

The only competition that Spurs now have a shot at winning, and in which they've had decent results, is the UEFA Europa League. However, the fans are very doubtful about the possibility of their team ending their long-awaited dream of finally winning silverware.

“Tottenham don't deserve a manager like Ange Postecoglou”

Ange Postecoglou was known for his quality attacking football in Australia and Scotland. He has won the Scottish Premiership with Celtic twice along with the Scottish FA Cup and League Cup.

During his first season at Tottenham, his impressive style of football amazed the fans across the league, also sparking hope in the Tottenham fans.

Spurs even led the Premier League points table at one point in time, eventually finishing in fifth place, just narrowly missing out on a Champions League spot.

The Coys accumulated an xG (expected goals) of 69.0 in the Premier League and scored 74 goals last season. It finally looked like Spurs had finally gotten the right manager after Mauricio Pochettino.

However, this season, Postecoglou’s game plan has failed miserably due to the major injury crisis that he is facing with his squad.

With currently 11 out injured, Tottenham top the list for the Premier League clubs with the most injuries in their squad currently.

While it has been quite easy to blame the manager, fans have started to believe that no one could do any better than what Ange is doing in the current scenario.

Fans and pundits have started to point fingers at the club chairman, Daniel Levy, for not backing the manager and supporting him during this crucial period of time, as Tottenham did not make enough signings in the winter transfer window to deal with their ongoing injury crisis.
