Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al-Nassr secured a 2-1 win last night against Al-Riyadh as the Portuguese superstar scored a “Puskas Award worthy” goal. The 40-year-old launched a thunderbolt of a strike for his second goal, making a strong contact on the ball with his laces, which ended up at the back of the net as the Al-Riyadh goalkeeper was left astounded.
It seems that Al Nassr's attacking department is working quite smoothly, with players like Ronaldo and Sadio Mane combining extremely well in the final third, with the duo often stepping up to earn crucial points for their side.
Also, with the addition of John Duran in January, Nassr have built a tremendous attacking force, one that has scored a staggering 25 goals in its last 10 games in the Saudi Pro League.
CR7 1000!!: Ronaldo further closes down the gap between him and the historic 1000-goal milestone
CR7’s consistent performances for Al-Nassr and Portugal this season showcase his fitness and passion for the game as he chases the historic 1000-goal milestone, whereas most of his colleagues and players close to his age have retired from professional football.
The Portuguese legend scored the 922nd and the 933rd goals of his career last night against Al Riyadh, also bringing up his 38th goal across all competitions this season for Al-Nassr.
While Cristiano Ronaldo reaches closer to the 1000 goal mark, he faces a race against time. At his age, the Nassr No. 7 could face a lot of obstacles in the upcoming days which might include injuries, fitness, and even proper game time.
However, with his consistency for club and country, along with his tremendous fitness levels and never-ending hunger to keep going on, it surely seems that the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo will not stop until he reaches the mind-boggling 1000-goal milestone.
