FC Barcelona have reportedly renewed their interest in Liverpool's star winger, Luis Diaz, with Hansi Flick determined to strengthen his attack for the next season.
The Catalan giants are plotting a move for the Colombian in the upcoming summer transfer window, having shown interest in him earlier as well, with rumours speculating that Diaz also might be interested in the move.
Luis Diaz has produced stellar performances under Arne Slot this season but has not been getting regular starts lately.
Despite his limited game time, the Colombian has scored 12 goals and provided 3 assists so far this season, which is the reason for Barça's interest in the star winger.
However, even under Hansi Flick, Diaz would have to fight for a place in the starting XI as he would be competing against the likes of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, who currently seem to be amongst the first names on the team sheet for Barcelona.
Luis Diaz's rejection of Liverpool's latest contract offer prompts a possible move to Barcelona
Almost every young, aspiring footballer in Latin America dreams of donning the Barcelona jersey someday, with legendary players like Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho, and Diego Maradona inspiring generations of players.
Luis Diaz, who hails from Colombia, might have the same dream.
The Colombian international has reportedly rejected Liverpool’s contract offer, which possibly hints at his desire to join FC Barcelona.
The 28-year-old has also received lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia. However, he is keen on staying in Europe to continue playing at the highest level.
The Catalan giants seek reinforcements in the attack to replace struggling players like Ansu Fati.
Flick also reportedly wants a natural left-winger in his squad, which is another reason why Barcelona are pursuing Luis Diaz, who is one of the best players in the world in this particular position.
