Arsenal, who are currently going through a striker crisis, could make a shock move for Al-Ahli’s star striker, Roberto Firmino.

As per FourFourTwo, the speculations regarding the former Liverpool No. 9’s future with the Saudi club have intensified, with a departure now seeming ‘highly likely,’ after being left out of Ahli’s squad for the Saudi Pro League for the remainder of the season.

The Brazilian has reportedly started exploring his options, with interest from Brazil, Mexico, and even the mighty Arsenal coming in for him.

Arsenal are exploring a short-term move for Roberto Firmino

Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus’ season-ending injuries have left Mikel Arteta without a natural striker for the remainder of the season.

This has further intensified Arsenal’s striker problems.

Without a January striker signing, Mikel Arteta is forced to deploy players such as Mikel Merino in the No. 9 position.

As a result, the Gunners are exploring a possible move for Roberto Firmino, who is familiar with the playing style and intensity of the Premier League, having spent 8 years at Liverpool.

Reports from FourFourTwo have also specified that Arsenal are likely to offer a short-term contract for the Brazilian, valid until the end of the season, as they still plan to go big and sign a world-class No. 9.
