Manchester United full-back Tyrell Malacia has joined PSV Eindhoven on loan until the end of this season.
The 25-year-old has struggled with injuries since arriving in Manchester, being out for 17 months and returning just recently in November.
The Dutchman was signed for £13m from Feyenoord in 2022. This signing was specifically requested by former manager Erik Ten Hag.
Malacia could feature only 47 times for the Red Devils and endured a tough time. He struggled to cope with the physicality of the Premier League.
With his contract running down in July 2026, this loan move could help him regain some confidence as he'll be playing in a league familiar to him.
Manchester United sign the “Park Ji-Sung regen” to replace Tyrell Malacia
It was a quiet winter transfer window for Manchester United, but they were able to pull off a smart budget deal.
The Red Devils have signed the highly talented Patrick Dorgu from Lecce for a deal worth £25m plus add-ons, with Ruben Amorim being the mastermind behind this move.

The 20-year-old is highly rated in Denmark and has a lot of potential. Pundits have found his playing style similar to that of Man United's icon, Park Ji-Sung.
However, it is yet another gamble from the Red Devils management as Dorgu is only 20 years old and still unproven at the big stages. Amorim has a tough task to prepare the defender for the upcoming challenges he's going to face in England.
The Portuguese manager will hope that Dorgu fulfils his potential, unlike Malacia. He has shown glimpses of his talent at the Danish youth level and has earned four caps with the senior team as well.
With his stellar performances at Lecce, United fans believe that their club has gotten their hands on a gem; they just need to polish him properly.
