Paul Pogba is on the verge of a phenomenal comeback after being out of action for almost 1.5 years

Paul Pogba is nearing a return to football after almost 1.5 years, following his ban after being found guilty of using doping substances.

As per Bein Sports, the Frenchman was initially sentenced to a 4-year ban from all forms of the game, which was eventually reduced to just 18 months. 

Despite the shortening of the ban, Pogba’s former club, Juventus, announced the mutual termination of his contract in November 2024, which has left the star midfielder without a club since then. 

Pogba hints at a 'spectacular' return

Serving the time of his ban, which will end in March 2025, Paul Pogba has sent many hints regarding his return in a ‘spectacular' manner. 

Speaking in an interview back in October, the 30-year-old midfielder stated his optimism of making a strong comeback after his ban gets lifted. 

Speaking to L'Équipe, Pogba said, “I'll be able to go back to doing what I love the most. It's like I've been given another chance. I've been given back something that had been taken away from me.” (sic)

He further added, “It's a new lease on life. March is tomorrow; it'll come quickly. And it's something I can't wait to do.”(sic)

Which clubs have been linked to Pogba?

After the termination of his contract with Juventus in November, Pogba was linked to a potential move to OM Marseille. 

L'Équipe reported that Marseille’s manager, Roberto De Zerbi, really admires the 30-year-old midfielder and feels he would be a great addition to his side. Reportedly, Pogba was also open to the move. However, nothing has really happened yet. 

Apart from Marseille, at the beginning of this month, reports suggested Manchester City were also targeting a staggering move for the former Manchester United star in order to strengthen their midfield. However, this turned out to be nothing but just rumours. 

And now finally, fans have been hinted at by Pogba himself at an unbelievable comeback to Manchester United.

In his story, Pogba posted an animated video that showed him coming back to Old Trafford to help United through this difficult time, which was followed by a photo of him with a caption saying, “Let's see what's coming…”(sic)

This has sparked even more mystery and excitement amongst fans regarding Paul Pogba’s future, as the Frenchman continues to be linked to multiple clubs for a potential move in the summer.
