Transfer news: Real Madrid
Real Madrid seem to have already gotten their top target for the coming summer, having reached an agreement with Trent Alexander-Arnold, as reported in our previous report. The Liverpool right-back will be joining the Spanish giants on a free transfer for a five-year contract worth €220,000 in weekly wages + additional bonuses.
On top of Trent’s transfer, the Los Blancos are planning on making another blockbuster signing from the Premier League itself, as they target Manchester United’s superstar, Bruno Fernandes, in a surprising move.
As per Metro UK, Real Madrid are prepared to make a bid worth a staggering fee of €90m, which is expected to be very hard for United to resist amidst their plans for a massive rebuild.
Transfer News: Manchester United
As reported in our previous report, Manchester United’s Danish playmaker, Christian Eriksen, is on the verge of leaving Manchester United, whereas nine other players, namely Casemiro, Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Lindelof, Malacia, Jonny Evans, Tom Heaton, and Luke Shaw, are also soon expected to join him as the club board, led by the majority stake owner, Jim Ratcliffe, prepare to execute their plan of a mass exodus in the upcoming summer transfer window. (As per ESPN)
On top of these 9 players, reports from Deadline Day Live also claim that the Red Devils are now also open to the sale of Alejandro Garnacho after making a surprising U-turn regarding the 20-year-old’s future with the club.
On the contrary, the Manchester giants are looking to make a signing in the form of the 19-year-old Fenerbahce defender, Yusuf Akcicek, in order to provide more support and backup to Lenny Yoro and Lisandro Martinez.
Transfer News: Liverpool
A surprising series of departures can soon occur at the heart of Liverpool, where Liverpool FC might lose more players in the summer on top of Alexander-Arnold’s deal with Real Madrid.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Trent Alexander-Arnold is on the verge of joining Real Madrid, having agreed to join the Los Blancos as a free agent in the coming transfer window.
However, in a bigger blow for the Reds, star forward Luis Diaz could also leave the club, along with Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota, in the summer, with recent reports claiming that Liverpool’s push for Alexander Isak has increased the possibility of Diaz leaving in the summer.
On top of that, as it stands, Liverpool’s star aces, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, will be out of contract in a couple of months, having still not penned a new deal with Liverpool, leading to multiple clubs in Europe and the Middle East monitoring their situation and plotting a potential move in the summer.
However, recent reports from Liverpool Echo have hinted that the club board has grown “very optimistic” about the possibility of reaching agreements with both Salah and van Dijk after having failed to do the same with Trent.
Other transfer rumours across Europe
Across the border, in Italy, USMNT star player Weston McKennie reportedly has no intentions to extend his contract with Juventus and desires to accept a new challenge in his career. As per reports, McKennie is being targeted by Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and even Arsenal for a potential move in the summer.
More news from the Italian Serie A has informed that Arsenal have made Inter Milan’s star No. 9, Marcus Thuram, one of their top targets for the summer transfer window, despite their strong links to RB Leipzig’s star forward, Benjamin Šeško.
The shocking transfer news coming from England is from Southampton’s camp, where the club's humongous value of their talented prospect, Tyler Dibling, has caused large-scale discussions regarding the “unbelievable” inflation in the transfer market, with reports from ESPN claiming that the Saints will demand a fee close to €100m for the sale of their defender.
More news coming from England is regarding Jadon Sancho’s confusing and uncertain future, with fresh reports claiming that the English winger has revealed his “dream” of rejoining Borussia Dortmund in the summer, following a tough spell at Chelsea as well.
It is also being said that La Liga leaders, FC Barcelona have set a price tag of €120m for their superstar winger, Raphinha, amidst interest from Europe and Saudi Arabia.
