Vinicius Junior has reportedly turned down Real Madrid’s latest contract offer, causing a major shock to the club and its fans.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Real were looking to secure a long-term deal for Vinicius amidst strong interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, who are reportedly willing to offer record-breaking deals for Real’s no. 7.
As informed in our previous report, Al-Ahli were planning to make a mammoth offer worth €350 million for Vinicius in the winter, which was eventually dismissed by Real Madrid as they informed the Saudi giants that they would only consider letting their star winger leave if his €1 billion release clause is triggered.
With Al-Ahli reportedly planning to dig deeper in order to complete Vini’s signing, the Los Blancos decided act quickly and secure the Brazilian’s future by offering him a long-term extension with them.
However, The Athletic reports that Vinicius and his representatives have decided to turn down the offer due to disagreements over wages and compensation.
